The team will be based in Helsinki for a few more months before moving into the new office in St. Petersburg. After having successfully set up an office in Finland we are now ready to take the next step eastward – to Russia. The reason we set up business in Finland was that we had noticed that an increasing number of our clients worked across the entire Nordic region.
They needed a web agency that was able to meet the needs of this kind of geographical organisation. We have now been able to observe new trends –an increasing number of Swedish and Finnish companies are turning towards the Russian market. Therefore, we have decided to set up a Deasign office in Russia – more specifically in St Petersburg!
We are following a step-by-step procedure in the expansion. We have already recruited Russian co-workers to our office in Finland, who will participate in projects from day one in order to learn our processes, procedures, methods and culture. The plan is to open an office in St Petersburg in the beginning of 2010/2011.
